Make a list / the things we’ve been putting off

Writing was one of the things I’d been putting off. For a long time.

Painting furniture. That’s another.

Life giving activities. Things that make me smile. Things that help me remember what it feels like to enjoy life.

So many items come to mind that I long to do, but don’t. Life gets in the way and hours pass by so swiftly. Many hours wasted, many days filled to the brim with to-dos that never end.

Anyone else?

We all have 24 hours in a day. Every second we decide exactly how to spend them.

Making lists and putting them in front of me has always helped when I need new habits or reminders.

Today, I’m making a list of all the things I’ve been putting off.

Here we go.

  • Write everyday
  • Tell our story
  • Paint furniture
  • Finish reading the entire Bible all the way through
  • Sit at the park without being distracted by work or my phone
  • Walk 10,000 steps everyday
  • Drink water every hour that I’m awake
  • Charge my phone at night across the room
  • Stop using the snooze button
  • Organize my closet
  • Organize my office
  • Cook everyday
  • Try a capsule wardrobe
  • Write in my journal each night before bed

How about you?

What items would be on your list that you’ve been putting off?

Would you dare to stop right now and make a list of your own?

We can do this together. Today is the very best day to start again. Start over. Start brand new.

See you tomorrow.

  1. Your list is daunting! My list would be much smaller as I am lots older and way slower to begin with. 1. Remove myself from the center and KEEP God there. 2. Love my husband better 3.Share God with others without fear 4. Somehow have this old brain remember Bible verses to have them at my finger tips. That would certainly be my daunting list. So glad to have you back in this space. (your life has to be so very full already.)

  2. My list: organize my small
    Space that I’m currently living in;
    Just sit outside and daydream for 30 min;
    Dive deep into the book of Luke and study more;Come
    out of hibernation that is truly my comfort zone; Be kinder and share others burdens;

  3. I’ve been putting off writing, too. I haven’t written hardly anything and haven’t posted to my blog since the summer. Not really sure when. I haven’t check the exact date because I don’t want to know for sure how long it has been. I miss it. It need to put it on my list of things to do today and every day. Thanks for reminding me. Glad to see these emails again, praying you give time every day to do the things God has given you to do.

  6. So glad your writing again . My list would go like this: drink more water, take all the trips I’ve been putting off, organize closets and scrapbook items, get rid of clothes I no longer wear, walk more. That’s a start!

  7. Starr. So many of the things on your list resonated with me. Water. Writing. Journaling to name a few. I am writing a longer one in my journal 😉 So glad to hear from you my sweet Friend. Hope you remember. Gina Horton (Alabaster, AL).
