here’s to 2018 / these are the moments

2018.

This year brought so much of the unexpected to our family.

One year ago I couldn’t see all this year would hold. Some days full of joy, some days full of sorrow.

That’s how the years go, it seems.

We take in all the moments that come our way and we learn. We hope. We pray. We carry on, in the midst of it all.

We stop to notice the sunsets.

We stop to swing.

We stop to drop leaves in the water.

And as we wind down the year that was 2018, I’m reminded that these are the moments.

These are the moments that I will want back one day.
These are some of the best moments of our lives.

Lord, help us to walk into 2019 living each moment with intention and purpose. Help us remember these are the moments of our lives.

The Haiglers are bringing in the new year under the light of our Christmas tree tonight quietly at home. We wish you a wonderful new year, friends!
