#1wordwednesday / prayers for {BROCK}

the daily Starr blog Starr haigler 8

I’m a 3.5 hour plane ride away from home and tonight my baby has the flu.

Prayers are greatly appreciated tonight as my mom drops everything to hunker down at our home with {Brock} over the next several days. And prayers for me. I’ve run a fever for the past 4 days and likely have the flu myself – not exactly something I wanted to experience in a different country.

Side note: 15 years ago Brian spent our honeymoon taking care of his new wife who had the flu. Goodness, I didn’t think that would happen again. He deserves husband of the year, always. 🏆

There’s a whole crew at home taking care of ALL our kids and rearranging schedules to make sure everyone is taken care of. There aren’t enough words to express our gratitude. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Thank you, Mom, for staying with Brock. And thank you to my Brain, for taking care of me. I feel so very helpless tonight as the tears stream down my face. Life happens like this and things are rarely as we expect them to be.

God is still a good God, even so.

Praying God gives healing and protection against sickness. Oh, what a day – when there will be no more sickness, no more pain, no more tears. What a day that will be.

Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord unto me.

  3. Dear Lord, we come to you praising you for who you are. You are our all in all, our healer and our loving Father. You know little Brock is sick and so is his sweet mama. LORD we ask for your healing hand to touch both of your children and restore them to perfect health. We also ask for extra strength for those caring for them. Father we lay them at your feet and ask for you to intervene. We thank you for what you are going to do and have already done! We love you Abba, and its in your powerful name we pray. Amen
