Here we are again, December 1.
Every year at this time I’m tempted to cave into the hustle and bustle, yet my soul craves stillness.
Stillness to sit and watch the twinkle of the lights on the tree.
Stillness to calm my anxious nerves and heart.
Stillness to remember it’s not all about the calendar and the to-dos and the lists that never seem to end.
This December, I want to capture the stillness and linger there a little longer than normal.
My mind drifts to the calm after a freshly fallen snow. Can you pause for one second to imagine standing here and letting the peace and calmness surround your weary and worn out soul?
Yes, hello December.
I’m so glad to see you again. Let’s make this a December to remember.
“December, being the last month of the year, cannot help but make us think of what is to come.” — Fennel Hudson
“How did it get so late so soon?
It’s night before it’s afternoon.
December is here before it’s June.
My goodness how the time has flewn.
How did it get so late so soon?” — Dr. Seuss
