Hi, blog friends!
The past few months have been a bit of a fog. If I’m completely honest, the days are long and I’ve been stretched thin. Our family has walked through unexpected grief with the loss of my dear Uncle Steve (in Tennessee), my dad just went through a heart procedure this morning (he’s fine), and our home is turned upside with a renovation in progress.
Also, it won’t stop raining here in NC (literally).
The rain seems like a symbol in my life currently. Even when the soft misty rain breaks for a few moments, the fog remains deep within the woods surrounding our tiny cottage.
This is what it is like to live in the foggy moments.
Things aren’t like we expected them to be. At all.
Still, we keep going. We walk forward into the fog and hold tight to the hand of the One who can see ahead and knows the way.
This is what it’s like to have faith.
The past few weeks my attention has been refocused on what matters most. More conversations, less social scrolling. More sitting by the fire, less hustle, and bustle.
I’ve pondered with God if I should continue writing this blog. And I can’t seem to let it go just yet.
We’re still {HERE}.
I’m thankful you come back and live these adventures with us, even on the foggy days when the sun seems far away. Thank you for reading and thank you most of all for your encouragement and prayers. I’ll see you tomorrow, friends.

You are a daily blessing to me. Many times the things you blog are the things on my heart and mind. Sometimes you are my reminder to keep looking up and trusting God. I know that as a PK this should be a daily routine but the world crushes in sometimes and we need that light as a reminder of Who we must trust. I was so happy and blessed to finally meet you in person. You encourage and inspire me, and I thank God for your wisdom, honesty, and faith that you so openly share. Love you!!!
