Listening doesn’t happen by default; it happens by design. You have to seek solitude, seek silence. You have to ruthlessly eliminate distractions. And you have to turn some voices down or tune them out altogether. It might be as innocent as talk radio or as innocuous as social media.
– Mark Batterson, Whisper – How to Hear the Voice of God
It’s easy for me to talk. It’s not as easy to shut my mouth and listen.
Listening doesn’t happen by default. It requires intention. It requires careful thought and purpose on our part.
It won’t just…happen…
There is no easy button. Instead, we have to carve out time to stop, and listen.
He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
Matthew 11:15 ESV
