Many of us think it will be a huge effort to change out dark wood paneling on walls. Not really!
Why worry with demo and extensive sheetrock costs when you can just…PAINT IT!
Instantly, this house took on a new life with painted paneling. We chose the paint color Simply White by Benjamin Moore for this entire home on the paneling and trim.
Here are a few more afters of our painted paneling room (oh, how I wish I had taken more befores of this house!):
Since we were going to have so much white with the painted paneling, we decided to leave the brick natural in this home and I’m so glad we did. It turned out to be the perfect contrast in this living space and makes it seem more cozy for curling up by the fire.
Don’t think you have to tear out paneling for a major transformation. A gallon of paint works just fine (or 5 gallons+ in our case, lol).
