Several months ago, Brian took me to walk through a potential flip house. I’ve learned to prepare myself for these walk-throughs…
You never know what you’re gonna get!! At least our life is always an adventure, right??
In this case – we walked through a home that had more of a “shell” of a kitchen remaining.
I’ve seen worse, honestly. Not terrible. We can work with this. I didn’t even consider a complete gut of what the previous owners left behind.
Fast forward a few months and we finally acquired the home with barely a kitchen. Time to get to work!
There was wallpaper border above the cabinets.
We removed the wallpaper and painted the wall above the cabinets the same color as our cabinets. This immediately creates more height and makes the kitchen seem larger.
Our list of kitchen renovations included:
-repair and paint the existing cabinet bases
-new cabinet doors, drawers, and hardware
-new granite countertops
-new marble tile backsplash
-new flooring
-new stainless steel appliances
-shiplap walls
-refinish the existing wood bar top
-recessed lighting
This renovation just finished up last week and it proved to be one of my favorite flips yet!
Let’s see the before one more time:

Oh, Clearwater Drive, I think I LOVE you ❤
Whew!
Our hard work on this flip definitely paid off. After a weekend full of showings and multiple offers, we’re under contract with an above asking price offer! Wooohoo!!
Stay tuned, I’ll add the colors and finishes to this post later tonight if you’re interested. Also, we’ll be back next week with the rest of the before and afters from Clearwater Drive.

Love it Starr. You can take nothing and turn it into something beautiful.
Wait! Isn’t that what God does with us? We are lowly lost people and when we trust him, believe He died on the cross for OUR sins, the Holy Spirit comes into our lives and makes us beautiful. Just like our creator. A day by day process.
