One of my priorities with writing a blog is to always be transparent with you, even when there are struggles I’d rather hide.
It’s easy to portray a beautiful life with pretty rooms – especially on social media. It’s harder to admit our struggles and know when something has to change.
My biggest struggle since we moved is this:
This is the door that stays shut and no one dares to see if they visit our home. Our bedroom.
I could come up with a million and a half excuses – we’ve been traveling, we cleaned out our closet at the old house last when we moved and it became one of those – HURRY UP AND GET IT ALL MOVED efforts. Thus, everything got toted to our bedroom and dropped along the edges of the walls, wherever it would fit.
And just like that, disaster ensued.
This is my struggle.
Here we are with summer coming to an end and I have 3 rooms that are full of unpacked boxes. Not exactly what I planned, honestly.
All I know to do is start where we are and do the next right thing. One day at a time, one moment at a time.
Today on this #trashouttuesday, I begin to tackle my struggles – because there’s no better day than today to start over. How about you?
