This statement about peace and joy in our Sunday School lesson today stayed with me long after church was over.
Our current study covers Paul’s letter to the Philippians.
Want true peace and joy in your life?
“Paul emphasizes joy because he knows that authentic joy in the Lord is what brings real peace. He knows true peace comes from God (1: 2). He knows joyous prayer, full of thanksgiving, invites the peace of God to guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (4: 7).”

YES! Authentic joy in the Lord brings real peace and that peace comes from God. It’s the only way.
The author goes on to say our prayers – joyous and full of thanksgiving, specifically invite the peace of God and guards our hearts and minds.
I don’t know about you, but I need some guarding of my heart and mind. FOR SURE!
Rest well tonight on this #slowitdownSunday and let your heart discover the true peace and joy that only comes from God. Amen and AMEN!
