Family Camp 2018 has been leading up to this one day – THE highlight of our summer.
Today is the day.
She moved into Atkins-Ellis Hall and had the biggest support group of anyone on campus…LOL!
Yes, we ALL came to move Joy to college!
I’m sure people were thinking all along she’s the big sister and my mom and dad were the grandparents…
Nope! She’s their favorite younger child.
Today brought back so many memories. Oh, how I wish I could relive these college days again! What an incredible time of my life. I’m so glad she chose Lee.
Her dorm room is all set.
I’m pretty sure I brought double or triple the amount of stuff as she did. She’s the smarter one, obviously.
Also, they really know how to decorate their halls now. We were not this creative 19 years ago. And this is right outside her door. How appropriate!
We all grabbed lunch in the dining hall, because hello, FREE food. Well, not really. Mom and dad definitely paid for this meal. A few times over.
And believe it or not, there are still a few of my favorite professors around campus.
We ended the day with a dedication service for families, staff and new students.
Brock decided it was time for a long overdue nap.
Joy, I’ll write you a mushy note before we drive off tomorrow. We’re so thankful you let us come experience this day (like you had any choice, hahaha).
As we walked through campus, Brian reminded me we only have 8 more years before Kayla is off to college. HOW IN THE WORLD?!?!?
Here’s to the beginning of the rest of your life, sweet sister! I love you!
