Sometimes we need to stop worrying so much about what everyone else thinks about us! Amen? AMEN!
On this #trashouttuesday we started singing at VBS and the words hit me slap in the face.
Do I look like a fool? I don’t care – I’m gonna praise God everywhere!
It’s time to get rid of the ego, the “I’m too cool syndrome” that seems to be our everyday culture.
As I drove home tonight I thought about how these are the moments that make life worth living.
Yes, in this life we will have trouble and trials and hard times. And on those days, we can put on our crazy hair and dance and sing and laugh for Jesus with the kids. Instantly, our perspective can be changed.
Yes, the VBS may be for the kids. Still – God is working on MY heart more than I expected.
These people are worth it all. Jesus, change our hearts. Rescue us from our selfish ways. Teach us to love like You.
Special thanks to the City of Monroe Fire Department! These local rescuers were the highlight of our night!!
