Did you read that entire page up there from my favorite devotional Draw the Circle?
No? Okay, I’ll wait. Go back and read. The ENTIRE THING.
Two things –
“But no one can live off someone else’s experience – someone else’s story. We need our own epiphany, our own testimony.”
YES! You can’t live your life off the testimony of someone else. What has God done for YOU? What is your story? What is your legacy?? What reasons do you have to worship the Savior?
Next –
“The holy ground wasn’t the Promised Land. It was right where Moses was standing. Don’t wait to worship God until you get to the Promised Land; you’ve got to worship along the way.”
I don’t know about you, but most days it feels as though I’m wandering in the wilderness. Sometimes I can see the daybreak ahead and the Promised Land seems so close. Then, it feels like God sends me on a detour to wait just a little longer.
I cannot hold out on my worship and my praises. I must stop to praise Him here and now. In the midst of the wilderness, in the chaos of the everyday, in the glorious ordinary that is my life right now.
This is holy ground.
It is also ground that is filled with sidewalk chalk and clutter and boxes everywhere. Even so, Lord, I will take off my shoes and worship You.
Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground. – Exodus 3:5
