Yes, I’m well aware that yesterday was #makeovermonday and today is Tuesday.
Aunt Debra is visiting for a few days and we just finished up this project tonight. I was so excited that I thought it was fitting to do an ENCORE of yesterday!
Here is a TV cabinet mom and dad had in their previous living room for the past 12 years.
And here it is after our family painting project!
We started this project a few weeks ago when Aunt Debra came to visit for Joy’s graduation.
And here are a few more images of the before cabinet in their living room over the years.
Ahh, hey Colby!
They didn’t need the cabinet in the living room at their new house, but mom wanted to use it in her office/scrapbook room. We knew painting it white would help to brighten up the space and give lots of room for storage.
Mom added a table top that she used in her office previously at the old house (custom made by Brian’s mom at her shop, Trimworks). We added it to the middle of the cabinet and brought out the middle cabinet as an end support piece.
We used my Valspar Exterior Primer paint (my all time favorite paint for covering furniture without sanding – just start painting!).
The color is white – straight off the shelf at Lowe’s, around $20 per gallon.
Now I’m ready to go home and paint allllll my furniture white!! 🙂
