Tonight on this #trashouttuesday I’m dealing with a heart issue instead of clutter.
Several years ago, a wise leader in my office shared how his wife made him promise one thing – to always bring home the very BEST of his day to her and their children.
She didn’t want the leftovers.
That has always stuck in my mind. How many days do I bring home the leftovers to my kids and husband? I give my all to everyone else and they get a steady diet of leftovers…
And no one likes eating leftovers all the time.
No one.
This summer I’m asking God to help me fall in love with being a mom.
Part of that is saying goodbye to leftovers.
“We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.”
― Winston S. Churchill
I want to give them my best. They deserve that and so much more.
