#makeovermonday / a brick fireplace I’m NOT going to paint

the daily Starr makeover monday blog

This is the before of the living room fireplace at the home we’re currently renovating for mom and dad –

Last night, we took down the last of the living room columns – exciting!!!

Mom and Dad supervised…

Only our family!!!

And here is the beautiful fireplace on this #makeovermonday

I’m sooooo thrilled that there was minimal damage behind the mantle and columns and we’ll be able to save this fireplace brick – AS IS!

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: Dad – make note – this is the brick I’m saving for you! Yes, I’m still planning to paint the outside of the house. You can sit in your living room each day and gaze at this beautiful brick that I saved JUST for you! You’re welcome!

The entire house is beginning to come to life and I secretly want to move in myself!!

The painters are finishing up this week and flooring will begin soon. Mom and Dad will be moving within the next 2 weeks, wooohooo!

Because makeover Monday is my favorite, how about a few more transformations happening in their house currently?

Before in the hallway –

And currently in the hallway –

We kept the natural wood on the inside of the front door and it looks amazing.

The kitchen is coming along as well – before –

And currently –

Y’alllllll I’M SO EXCITED AND I JUST CAN’T HIDE IT!!

And this isn’t even my house, lol!

Every day I’m more amazed at the simple power of paint. Paint and lighting. Miracle makers for sure.

Paint colors we’re using: Benjamin Moore Gray Huskie for the cabinets, Benjamin Moore Classic Gray for the walls, Benjamin Moore Simply White for the trim and moldings.
