#shareitsaturday / don’t be apologetic about wanting to do something big with your life

the daily Starr share it saturday

Tonight’s #shareitsaturday wisdom comes from Dr. Paul Conn.

“Don’t be apologetic for wanting to do something big with your life.” – Dr. Paul Conn, President – Lee University

These words to prospective students hit me hard.

YES! YES! YES!

If there was one thing I would go back and redo in my life it would be to start dreaming big dreams sooner.

I got stuck early on in my adulthood doing what I thought was expected of me and what was the right thing to do. Instead of dreaming big, I was focused on simply getting a job, buying a house, paying bills, etc.

It wasn’t until about 4 or 5 years ago that Brian and I started thinking and dreaming differently. We decided that we only get one life and now is our time to live our passions and do big things. We jumped in and haven’t looked back.

Oh, what if I had been brave enough to dream big 20 years ago???

Today is the perfect day to start – no matter how old you are.

YOU can live an extraordinary life. Right now. Right here.

Will you join me and dream big right where you are tonight?

  1. I struggle with this a lot. Ever since I was little, I felt like I was supposed to DO something BIG, but I always suppressed it, even as a younger kid, because I thought it was narcissistic. But, I’m nearly 40, and I still have that feeling, so there must be something to it, right?!
