My favorite line from the definition above – the ability to think about or plan the future with imagination or wisdom.
I fully believe God gives his children VISION – to change the world, to love others, to do incredible things for the Kingdom.
Here’s the thing – not everyone will see or agree with the vision God is calling you to.
Sometimes people will go their own way simply because they can’t catch the vision you’re following.
And that’s OK, my friends.
God purposefully moves people into place when we’re following a vision that honors Him.
Sometimes, longtime friends will go a different direction. And believe me, after the past few years of my own life, I know that’s hard.
Sometimes, God puts new acquaintances right down smack into our lives at just the right moment. And we can just say, “Thank you, LORD!” He knows exactly what we need.
As I sat thinking about this topic earlier today, I decided to search my blog and see what I had written on the topic of vision before (because really, after writing every day for 3.5 years, I forget what I’ve written…hahah!).
Here is the image that popped up in my own handwriting:
This blog post was written the night before Brock was born and God knew I needed to read it again today. You can read the entire post here.
Here’s to chasing after a holy VISION for our lives and families that can only come from above. Amen!
