#1wordwednesday / PRAY {how can we pray for each other tonight?}

the daily Starr blog Starr haigler 8

Pray.

The Christian life is not a constant high. I have my moments of deep discouragement. I have to go to God in prayer with tears in my eyes, and say, ‘O God, forgive me,’ or ‘Help me.’ – Billy Graham

To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing. – Martin Luther

In the Lord’s Prayer, the first petition is for daily bread. No one can worship God or love his neighbor on an empty stomach. – Woodrow Wilson

Yesterday. Today. Tomorrow.

We all need prayer.

I’m not talking about the now I lay me down to sleep kind of prayers.

I’m talking about the grabbing hold of the altars and not letting go kind of prayer.

That’s what I want in my life – for my future, for my family, for my relationships, for restoration, for hope.

Nothing in this world compares to talking with my Savior.

Tonight I come to Him with the weight of the world on my shoulders. We’re about to take the biggest leap we’ve ever taken and I don’t want to do this on my own. I CAN’T do this without Him. Oh, how I desperately need Him now.

And so I pray.

Fervently.
Earnestly.
Seeking.
Asking.
Searching.
Pouring out the very depths of my very soul.

How can I pray for you? I’d love to know. You can respond directly to this message and your request will come directly to me. I promise to write your name in my journal. I promise to lift you up to our Father.

How can you pray for us? Wisdom and guidance. Ask God to guide our steps over the next 24 hours. We’re jumping in and saying YES in the biggest way we’ve ever jumped. I’m ready to fall into His arms and do what He has called me to do – whatever that may be. We’d be so thankful for your prayers.

Prayer is our invitation to God to intervene in the affairs of earth. It is our request for Him to work His ways in this world. – Myles Munroe

The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand. Psalm 37:23-24 NLT

  1. I could use some prayer, please. I am in desperate need of some direction on the next step for me as far as work is concerned. I have been praying for a word, and i am still trying to wait patiently :-). I was doing good but am starting to get discouraged :-/

Still praying for your family, too. We know how the story ends, right?! It’s just not knowing what happens on the pages in between that’s hard.

I used Ephesians 4:32 in my post tonight! How cool! https://heatherhooks.com/

    • Oh Heather, I have been in your shoes for the past 5 years. And it has been extremely hard. I have questioned so much and had so many tough “no’s” along the way that I thought were just perfect. I will be lifting you up that God leads you along this incredible journey and gives you exactly what you need, day by day by day!! I’m thankful for your friendship and will be praying for you to see Him in everything. I love that verse!!!

  2. Starr your family has my prayers. Your project sounds like a much needed place for those who minister to others to refresh their souls..

My family could use some prayers for healing and grace.
