We finished up our work conference this morning here in Anaheim, California.
It’s been a jam-packed 4 days of learning and celebrating with our team and I’m so thankful to be involved with a company that has values, morals and standards. Every year I leave feeling more proud of the company we choose to align our business with. Keller Williams, you are amazing.
Side note: we found out our company was named The Happiest Place to Work in the U.S. by Forbes Magazine!!
YESSS! I completely agree. Maybe it’s because I get to work with this guy. He makes me so happy. Most days…
By the way, that’s his take-the-photo-I’m-hungry-face!!
Today I turned 37 and we celebrated all day long!!
Here’s to year number 37, our day in photos.
8:30am – This has been our walk to work every morning for the past 4 days and I’m not gonna lie, I could get used to this everyday. Californians, enjoy your palm trees. They die where we live.
12pm – Picked up our rental car for the day to go explore. Ok, let’s talk about this. Y’all. I booked our rental car about a week ago. BUDGET. I picked the cheapest option we could find for a convertible. $74 for a full day. I kid you not, we show up at our budget rental place and they drop us into a brand new 2018 GT Mustang Convertible. Brian is in heaven. I’ve got convertible fever, oh yes I do. Happy Birthday to meeeee!
1pm – stop at our all time favorite sandwich place for the best sandwhich on the planet. Earl of Sandwich – Hawaiian BBQ.
Brian was hungry. The best $7 you’ll ever spend. I may have told God that we need these sandwhiches in heaven.
1:45pm – We walked out of Earl of Sandwich and stumbled right onto the US Airforce Band playing in Downtown Disney. What a treat! Even they knew it was my birthday, duh!!
3pm – We arrived in Laguna Beach, California.
You’d think it was hot. Think again. The blustery 50s with HEAVY winds that were brutal.
Still, Laguna Beach, you are beautiful. I would come back. On a warmer day.
This is the story of my life – I roam around and take photos while Brian works. We make a great team, hahah!
4pm – Quick stop in Huntington Beach for a snack. Acai Bowls at Earth Bar. Yummy!
We passed right by the hotel we stayed at a few nights ago. Gorgeous beach. I love you, Huntington.
We documented several parts of our day on FB, so you can go check out the videos if you want. This one was my favorite because this was pretty much us ALL DAY LONG. Yes, we are THOSE people.
5pm – Riding into Manhattan Beach and the sun was starting to set over the ocean.
It was too cold to stay out on the beach. REALLY REALLY cold. Back to the car.
5:45pm – We chased the sunset and came into Venice Beach right after it went down. Still, God left us this beautiful sky to end our day.
Venice Beach, thank you for a perfect end to our day.
Some random strangers on the beach were kind enough to capture these for us just as the skies turned dark.
Oh, how I’ll always remember this day. Thank you, Lord, for another year. It’s gonna be the best yet, I do believe.
And to all of you that have sent birthday wishes my way (even those of you that sent them at 2:30am PST this morning) I LOVE YOU! Thank you for making my day so special.
It’s time to pack up and go home to see my babies. I can’t wait.
