#slowitdownSunday / how to make a monthly prayer list

the daily Starr slow it down Sunday

It’s the first Sunday of February! Let’s make a monthly prayer list.

I’m a firm believer in prayer. I’m also a firm believer in writing things down (I currently have 5 different journals I write in each day, yep – gratitude, prayer, devotional, write the Word and my planner!).

Grab a sheet of paper – I prefer the kind with lines so I can make a list.
Next, get a pen that you love and start making your list.

Not sure where to start? I’ve made you a sample list of items to cover.

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. – James 5:16 NIV

What if we spent the next month covering our friends, family, and circumstances in prayer? How would our lives look different?

One of the greatest attacks of the enemy is to make you busy, to make you hurried, to make you noisy, to make you distracted, to fill the people of God and the Church of God with so much noise and activity that there is no room for prayer. There is no room for being alone with God. There is no room for silence. There is no room for meditation. – Paul Washer
