Welcome to the Old Haigler Theatre:
We took an ordinary family movie night and made it oh so special – with a few simple things we already had around the house. Brian got the kiddos all washed up in the baths and ready in their PJs while I transformed our living room into the Old Haigler Theatre.
We used the following:
- Chalkboard
- Light-up sign with the movie title (Cars 3, it’s on Netflix now, ya’ll!)
- White strand lights – from Target last year on clearance ($3 a strand)
- Paper decor strands from the dollar section at Target – I keep these on hand and use and re-use for birthdays, celebrations, etc.
- Lots of pillows and blankets on the living room floor
- Movie snacks and popcorn
These kiddos absolutely look forward to our #funfriday adventure each week, even if it means staying at home and being together in our own DIY theatre.
They did not want to wait for me to take photos. It’s movie time, mom!
Brian and I have VIP box seats on the couch 🙂
I added a couple of strands of lights to the top and bottom of the TV to make it look special.
This family loves us some Lightning McQueen!!
Have a wonderful weekend, friends!
