#slowitdownSunday / Jesus was just as busy as us

the daily Starr slow it down Sunday

“Jesus was just as busy as us, if not more, and still found time to meet with the Father. Busyness doesn’t excuse prayerlessness.” – Jackie Hill Perry

Does that hit you as hard as it does me?

Wow.

Busyness doesn’t excuse prayerlessness.

This happens to me all the time. I have the best intentions. And then my life gets busy. I get tired. And I think, oh I’ll do better tomorrow.

I let busyness win.

And I become prayerlessness.

Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always. 1 Chronicles 16:11 NIV

Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. Jeremiah 29:12 NIV

“Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Matthew 26:41 NIV

I’m setting my alarm early again tomorrow to sit and listen for the Lord to speak. Anyone else want to join me? Let’s give the first part of our week back to the Lord – He will honor our offering of time and prayer.
