#trashouttuesday / the neglected hallway junk desk

the daily Starr trash out tuesday

This neglected hallway junk desk has been on my list for a few weeks – and today it was TIME!

Yes, Kayla’s face says it all! Such a disaster dumping desk.

I don’t have excuses. No reasons of why. It’s just a mess. And it has been for some time now. We even have a cooler sitting on top of the hope chest. Brilliant.

Since today is indeed #trashouttuesday it is time to CLEAN IT UP, YO!

Sign credit to Joy Kelly, 100%.

First, I needed to remove all of the take-home craft items our kids seem to collect in bulk.

The kids started putting away toys and all of the other random items that had collected in the desk vicinity.

Joy helped with the signs while Chloe helped the kiddos…

while Brian installed these 3 white boards on the wall – they’re from the Target Dollar Spot.

Then I changed out the lamp and added a few items from around the house.

Seriously – a gazillion times better!

Cleaner, neater and actually usable, how about that??!??!

Chloe and Joy obviously had too much fun with this project. They were actually super excited because they were babysitting our kids while we went on a long overdue date night. Can’t you see the excitement in their smiles?

I love love love Glennie the Great’s hope chest in this little hallway.

And the kiddos agree.

And here is the other side of that little hall currently.

Those bookshelves normally go in our living room, but they’ve been temporarily relocated due to the gigantic Christmas Tree. Which is still up, by the way.

Here is a zoomed out real-life view of our hallway.

That’s a wrap for today’s clean out project, wooohooo!
