Twice this week, deer have crossed in front of my car.
Immediately, my mind went to a verse in the book of Habakkuk that talks about the feet of deer.
The sovereign Lord is my strength: He makes my feet like the feet of a deer. He enables me to tread on the heights. Habakkuk 3:19
Did you know…
The black outer nail is hard and strong. It absorbs the shock of every stride and provides traction on soft and wet surfaces. It’s also a formidable weapon. The inner portion of the hoof is softer, but still quite tough. It provides a cushion and traction on harder surfaces.
Deer feet are pretty awesome, right?
On this #thirstythursday be reminded that God will make our feet just like those of the deer. He will both provide us soft landings and at the same time give us feet that can climb the steepest mountains.
God, help me be reminded of this promise every time a deer crosses my path.
