Sometimes God surprises me in the most unexpected ways.
I gotta be honest with you – I could count on 2 hands the number of times I’ve actually stopped and sat down to dry our daughters’ hair.
[GASP]
Oh, don’t you judge.
I can’t help they are blessed with their daddy’s hair. Our girls have natural curl (Kylie),
and wavy perfection (Kayla),
which allows them to have gorgeous hair that is perfectly fine when air-dried after their baths. Note – you can’t see those features in these photos because…well…hello…I dried it tonight. Duh.
And I sure don’t mind one less thing to do during our bedtime routine. AMEN, MAMAS??!?!?!
Amen to the amen.
Tonight I needed to slow down and #clearthestage. It’s been a long day mentally and I’ve been processing tough stuff in my brain. I also have friends walking through tough stuff and my heart is burdened for us all tonight in such specific ways.
The friend that needs healing.
The friend that is hurting.
The friend that is searching.
The friend that made a tough choice.
The friend that needs to know she isn’t alone.
God knew I needed to be reminded tonight – reminded to sit and be still and take care of my girls.
And one little boy who won’t dare go near the hair dryer. Bless.
Thank you, Lord. This is how you calmed my soul tonight, and I’m so very thankful.
