There’s a song I’ve been listening to lately and this line gets me every time:
My biggest enemy is me...and even I can't stop me! - Andy Mineo
We are our biggest enemy, right? Our self-talk can smell like garbage. We tell ourselves things that we’d never dare say to those around us.
And we think it’s OK.
It’s not OK. At all.
God tells us to watch our thoughts:
“Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts.” Proverbs 4:23
“For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind!” 2 Timothy 1:7
“Satan, you are a liar. I will not receive (or believe) your lie in the Name of Jesus.” 2 Cor 10:5
“Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” Colossians 3:2
The enemy CANNOT stop us, friends.
And if you like Christian Rap, watch this video and get PUMPED UP!
Dad, this means you shouldn’t watch. HAHAHA.

My family and I love this song and this artist. He is really good.
You’re right about the negative self-talk. The Bible talks about our thoughts and our thinking so much because it is so important that we’re careful, that we monitor our thoughts. My brain gets me in so much trouble sometimes!

We all struggle with stinkin thinkin some times! Keeping our mind and thoughts fixed on Him is easier when we feed them with positive music, the Word and encouragement! So glad that there are artists like this that bring positive music for the younger generation!! And since we like it, that must make us young too! Hahahha
