#clearthestage / I’m done with complicated pinterest birthday parties

It took 10 years, but I’m finally learning.

A simple birthday celebration at the local froyo shop is perfectly FINE, y’all.

We showed up with one bag – which included balloons, plates, and cups. Then we brought our little chalkboard from home, bottled water and pizza. The yogurt shop handled the rest!!! Woooohooooo.

No dramatic theme. No crazy planning and setups.

Nope. Nada. Zip. Ziltch.

I’m done with the crazy Pinterest inspired, over the top birthday celebrations. I don’t have time…

And here’s one tiny secret:  THE KIDS COULD CARE LESS!

I mean, seriously. They were too focused on spending time with each other and putting as much as they possibly could into that 12 oz froggy cup.

Tonight we celebrated our oldest. It’s incredibly hard to believe 10 years have come and gone.

Kayla Anne Haigler – we love you and this #funfriday was all about you, sweetheart!
