on the 3rd birthday of this blog…

the daily Starr slow it down Sunday

On this day 3 years ago, October 1, 2014, I started writing every single day.

Cue the confetti!!!

How did that even happen????? That’s. A. Lot. Of. Words. Y’all.

And tonight, I’m going to be quiet.

This song has always caught me in the moments I needed it most. Clear the Stage has been a theme that God uses to remind me of the most important part of my life.

You can sing all you want to.

You can write all you want to.

You can strive all you want to.

And STILL GET IT WRONG.

Worship is more than a song.

Worship is more than a blog.

Worship is more than your family.

Worship is more than anything on this earth you could ever want or desire.

Worship is letting go of the idols that try to so easily to entangle us.

Worship is telling the enemy to go back to hell and stay out of our lives, our homes, our relationships.

Worship is getting quiet before God and letting Him speak.

I’m getting back to the heart of worship and for the next 31 days (the entire month of October), I’ll be sharing what it looks like to #clearthestage in my own life.

No makeover Mondays.

No trash out Tuesdays.

No 1 word Wednesdays.

No thirsty Thursdays.

No fun Fridays (don’t worry kids – we’ll still carry on this tradition, without featuring on the blog).

No share it Saturdays.

No slow it down Sundays.

In the place of my normal routine for the past 3 years, I’ll be stopping the regularly scheduled programming to be still and listen. This is what my heart needs most in this season. I can feel Him urging me in the most obvious ways. I KNOW this is what He is asking me to do in this moment.

It’s time to #clearthestage.

Will you join me?
