Normally our Tuesday evenings are spent conquering some type of clutter in our home for the regularly scheduled #trashouttuesday here on the blog. Fun, right? HA!
Clutter and fun don’t exactly go together in my book. EVER. Believe me. Each Tuesday is a struggle for this borderline hoarder.
Instead, we took a break from our clutter and ventured out to the County Fair (aka our kid’s elementary school curriculum night).
Can I take just a moment and tell you we possibly have the BEST school on the planet??
Our leadership team, teachers, and the staff never cease to amaze me with their creativity, passion, and excitement for learning. It is apparent every single time we walk onto campus, and that is not an exaggeration.
For the second year in a row, we’re participating in the One School, One Book project. Every student in the school receives the same book and a schedule to read together as a family each night. This year our book was none other than the classic, Charlotte’s Web.
Wilbur came to the County Fair!!
It has been an incredible experience to read this classic as a family. The students have trivia questions they answer each day from the assigned reading and our family has been pretty good at coming up with our own questions and actually guessing what they will ask at school!
We finished the book last night and celebrated with the County Fair event tonight.
I didn’t keep my phone out very long, so this is about all I captured.
Templeton made an appearance, Charlotte’s web was on display and there were over 20 games for the families to enjoy together. What a fantastic night!
Brock had fun too!
Rocky River Roadrunners are simply the best!!
Tonight I want to say thank you to all of those that pour into our children each and every day. Your passion does not go unnoticed. Being a teacher is a calling and I never want to take our incredible school for granted. The Haiglers love you all!
