Guess what, y’all???
Tomorrow is 100 days ’til Christmas!!!
So, of course, we celebrated by putting up a Christmas tree for today’s #funfriday.
I’ve always wanted to do a countdown for 100 days ’til Christmas with our kids, but usually forget. Not today.
We have an open wall in the hallway upstairs between their bedrooms. It’s the perfect location to put a countdown where they can take down a card each day.
I’m not sure if I should admit that I spent an hour figuring out how to make the dates and the numbers match up. Don’t you laugh. Math is not my strength. Just ask my family.
I wanted to make sure the cards looked right and made a tree, so I did the layout on the floor first. I would have been soooo mad to tape them up and then have to redo it all.
Each card has the date in the bottom corner, as well as the countdown number. I wanted to see the actual dates because we have several birthdays in our family between now and Christmas. I thought it would be cool to highlight the special days on our countdown.
We added photos for the birthdays – Kayla, Kylie and Brian.
The kiddos got to pick the photos out for our countdown wall.
And then, Brian and I celebrate our anniversary in December!
19 days before Christmas to be exact. Are you even surprised that we had a Christmas wedding????
I absolutely LOVE how our 100 days ’til Christmas countdown tree turned out! I didn’t plan anything, honestly. I just went downstairs and started looking for precut cards that would work together to make 100 and then found matching tape and a banner for the top.
The real test will be if this one can keep his hands off the tree…
He kept running up to the wall and telling me to take his picture again. So, I did.
And at this very moment, he just ripped one of the photos off of a card. Fun times, right??
Happy 100 days ’til Christmas, y’all!!
If you need us, we’ll be watching Frosty the Snowman.
