#thirstythursday / a prayer for my dad

the daily Starr thirsty thursday

My dad is very sick tonight – that is on the top of my mind.

He’s been fighting a bug all week and has become dehydrated. Would you help me pray for healing?

I know many of you have friends and loved ones that also need a miracle in this moment. This prayer is for healing – for dad and anyone else in need tonight.

Lord,
Tonight I come before You on behalf of those in need of healing in their body. We acknowledge that You are almighty and powerful and nothing is too difficult for You. Your Word reminds us of the healing power You provide -

He was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. By His wounds we are healed. Isaiah 53:5

We cling to this truth now and always.

Above all, we ask for Your will in every situation, for every circumstance. You know best. Your ways are higher. Your plans are greater.

Through this healing we will give You all the glory, honor and praise. Use us as vessels to impact Your kingdom.

Amen.

Whatever your situation may be, be encouraged. You’re not alone. His healing is available to all who will call on His name and be saved.

Hint – I found this adorable devotional at Ollie’s for $3.99 a few weeks ago!!!

My family would truly appreciate your prayers this evening. And if there is any way I can pray for you, please let me know.

  1. Lord we come to your throne with the boldness you have told we can. Abba we lift up Starr’s dad to you. You are the great Physician. We ask that you place your healing hand on him. We give you all the praise Abba for you alone are able. We love you and give you thanks. In Jesus mighty name we ask this. Amen
