I’m so excited for today’s #makeovermonday feature – which is the biggest renovation project we’ve ever tackled!
This is a 2 part series, with today’s post covering all of the before photos and a slight hint of the finished product.
I’m titling this project “brown house with lots of weird walls.”
Here we go!
As you walk into the front door – there was a tiny foyer room (I remember my parents having a house very similar to this at one time – classic 80s/90s design here).
This entry room was dark, dreary and made the house feel very depressing for a first impression.
One door led into the living room, one into the dining room and then there was an awkward pantry on the other side of the depressing foyer. It’s all very hard to convey in photos, actually.
I convinced Brian it would be all together better if we just got rid of all the walls (I think he thought I was joking at first, but noooo).
So, we did. We took ALL THE WALLS OUT!!!
Y’all!! Instantly I fell in love.
Here’s a better before and after to show the difference.
Now for a glimpse at the rest of the house – before.
It’s a beauty, right???
We’re wrapping up the finishing touches on this one and listing this week! I can’t wait to get photos and share the final outcomes. Until then, here’s a tiny teaser –
Sooo fun and pretty and exciting!!! Stay tuned for next week’s #makeovermonday reveal.
