#shareitsaturday / just fight a little longer my friend – it’s all worth it in the end

the daily Starr share it saturday

This afternoon called for cleaning our shower and let me admit it was wayyyy overdue. I should note this is one of the tasks around the house I despise MOST.

This is me when it comes to cleaning our shower…and well, pretty much our entire house.

When I have to do things I really don’t want to do – music is always my companion to get me through and in a better mood (vs. the grouchy-i-don’t-want-to-clean-anything version of me).

Today wasn’t a day for Christmas music – although most days totally are in this house!

Today wasn’t a day for my normal worship music – which I love deeply.

Today I needed music to pump me up, stay awake and get down to the dirty business of cleaning  – and at the same time my soul craved music with an inspirational background.

Enter Lecrae radio on Pandora.

If you’ve never heard of Lecrae, then you’re welcome.

NOTE: Dad, you will not like Lecrae. I repeat, you WILL NOT LIKE LECRAE. Just stop reading now.

Lecrae knows how to bring a beat and a message in one punch. I’m a fan.

This song came on while I was cleaning our shower and the words hit me all of a sudden – such a good message y’all. Even if you aren’t a fan of rap, listen and watch these lyrics.

No matter what pain you’re facing right now – remember – fight a little longer my friend, it’s all worth it in the end. When you got nobody to turn to, just hold on and I’ll find you.

You are not alone.
