There’s a Bible verse that came across my path a week or so ago. I wrote it down in my journal and I can’t even remember where I saw it originally.
Psalm 27:13-14 (NRSV)
I believe that I shall see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!
Then, strangely it appeared in a devotional I read yesterday. The same exact verse. Insane.
This is not a popular verse like the 23rd Psalm or John 3:16.
No, this is a random verse tucked away in the Psalms.
It’s like God dropped it in my lap and said, “Here. I haven’t forgotten.”
Then I thought to myself, “Maybe I should start {MEMORIZING} scriptures like these.”
I’m clinging to this reminder. I’ve written the verse over and over in my journal each day since last week. I feel drawn to {memorizing} this little nugget and letting it be the reminder I need to keep going towards what God has for me.
How about you? Do you feel like God has forgotten about your circumstances? Just like this verse says – be strong, take courage, wait for the Lord!

please tell me you have figured a way to memorize verses! I think I have tried everything but nothing, I mean nothing wants to stick in this sieve like brain. (I am not even sure of the day anymore!) I have tried Max’s way, writing it down for 13 days. Yeah that is good until the 16th day when I can’t remember it any more. Ugh!

I’m actually trying to figure this out too, friend! Right now I’m just writing it down but I’m like you. I have a really hard time remembering!! I’ll do some research and do another post on this! Great questions! Thank you for commenting. Glad I’m not alone!
