#slowitdownSunday / we’re BAAAACCCK!

the daily Starr slow it down Sunday

I can’t begin to explain this past week and all that God has taught us through church youth camp.

One week.

200+ teenagers.

Rain. Downpours. Holy moly. Did. It. Rain.

Paintball. Rock walls. Ziplines. Scavenger Hunts. Mega Races. Cabin Wars. Super heroes.

Stinky cabins (just ask Brian, ha!)

A whole lot of worship and lives changed.

Very little sleep.

We had an absolute BLAST!

I forgot how incredible it is to be at youth camp. Honestly, there’s no place on earth quite like Western North Carolina Church of God youth camp – take it from this preacher’s kid.

I forgot what it’s like to be in the midst of teenagers on fire for God.

I forgot what it’s like to be surrounded by those encouraging you to be more.

I forgot what it’s like to have go all day and then go some more and then go to bed at 2am!!! HOWWW did we do this for so long when we were younger???

Being with our youth group this week will go down in the books as one of my favorite memories.

We even met a few new friends.

After a long week at camp, we’re happy to be back home with our babies – just in time to celebrate Grammy’s 60th birthday!!

Mom, you make life sweeter. And we love you so.

I’ll write more later in the week about our camp experiences, but for now I leave you with a challenge on this #slowitdownSunday.

How about make this week different – how about this week make God a priority. How about this week set aside time each day to meet Him?

I was inspired this week to draw closer and to make God a priority every single day.
