This week we’re taking #funfriday into the kitchen!
Our easy skillet s’mores were inspired by this recipe on foodnetwork.com
We tweaked ours a bit and it took less than 5 minutes to prepare!
1 bag of miniature chocolate chips
1 bag of mini marshmallows
3 tablespoons of butter (we use coconut butter, see below)
1 box of wheat graham crackers
We have started using this Melt organic coconut butter because Brock has a sensitivity to dairy and we love love love it!!
First heat a cast iron skillet over medium heat. I sprayed mine with coconut oil first. Add the butter and let it melt.
Slowly add your chocolate chips being careful to not let the chocolate burn. Remove from the heat to stir if it heats too quickly.
Once your chocolate is melted, add all of the marshmallows on top of the chocolate.
Our marshmallows were super sticky, so they didn’t lay pretty. But, we didn’t mind. Ha!
Put your oven on broil (high heat – ours was 500 degrees) and stick the skillet in for just a few minutes to brown the top of the marshmallows.
WARNING: watch them. This will easily burn in just a few minutes.
We loved it and we didn’t even have to go out and make a fire in this 90 degree NC summer heat!
We’ll definitely be making this dessert again – super easy, super quick and super yummy!
