#funfriday / once a year I become a dance mom

the daily Starr fun friday

For the past several years we’ve spent one #funfriday in May at dance recital rehearsal.

Tonight is that night again!

Our love bugs rocked the stage rehearsing their performances in ballet, hip-hop and tumbling.

They were so fantastically fabulous!!

And also – what kind of mom cries during a hip-hop dance???

This mom right here!

Kayla’s group was dancing to a song called All For You and every time Kayla pointed to Heaven and looked up to Jesus I just wanted to shout!!

Also – I drastically changed my hair yesterday if you couldn’t tell –

Our girls attend dance at Masterpiece Studios in Indian Trail and I could not recommend anywhere more. Every piece of music and art is themed to honor God and it overflows into the hearts of the dancers on stage.

Jackie Watson is my hero. She puts together these amazing recitals that feel like church. This is what I want my girls to be part of.

Congratulations on 10 years of dance at Masterpiece, Jackie! The Haigler clan loves you more than you’ll ever know!

Happy fun Friday y’all!

  1. My daughter’s dance teacher uses Christian music as well. This year was our first recital, but it felt a lot like worship, too! We loved it. I am thankful for this studio and others like it where we can take our kids to learn to dance but not have to worry about the music that will be used or the costumes that will be worn.
