This week our planned #funfriday activity was rained out…bummer! Instead, we’ll save that fun surprise for another week ahead.
We improvised and honestly, it’s been a long, tough week. Anybody else relate?
The reality of our fun on this rainy Friday night is actually pretty boring. Instead of sending you a pointless post, I thought it might be fun to recap what I’m most thankful for tonight.
#1 – thankful for time to rest and chill
Yep, we’re snuggled on the couches watching PBS Kids! Want to come over??? Hahah
They kept asking me what we were going to do….like they’ve come to expect Fridays to actually be FUN????
#2 – thankful for instant smoothies on hand in the freezer
I’ll share more on the blog soon about how I keep these amazing pre-made smoothies in our freezer and use them to make instant 3-minute healthy surprises for our entire family!
#3 – thankful for a day with smiley Kylie
She’s been a little under the weather the past couple of days, which meant time with mommy! We decided to ride down and check out a store 30 minutes away that had some special paint I’ve been wanting for a furniture project. She was the perfect sidekick and it was nice to spend time with just the two of us.
Today we missed our first “Muffins with Mommy” because she wasn’t at school. Instead, we stopped and got a brownie to share 🙂
#4 – thankful for 5 years of working with the best boss ever
This week marked 5 years since I left my corporate job and started working every day with my man! I wouldn’t have it any other way. Together we collected donations for our annual day of service and loaded the little blue truck full of bags. Some people wonder if we love working together?? Yes. Absolutely without a doubt! And I couldn’t be more thankful for the clients that trust us with their biggest moves. We love what we do!
#5 – thankful for a little boy that struggles with mornings just like his mama!
This is how we roll – always sleepy and struggling to do mornings. Oh, boy, do we ever struggle!! Brock and I had a few mornings this week to sit a little longer and walk a little slower. I’ll always be thankful for that.
What are you thankful for this week? I encourage you to think about that and flood your mind with gratitude to replace the frustrations that we all face.
Happy weekending to you and yours!
