Like so many other people with too much stuff, I have a stack of things in my closet, in the garage, pretty much everywhere – that’s labeled, “To Sell.”
Buttttt, do we ever get around to actually selling all those “to sell” items???
Usually not. They sit and sit and sit. And then we donate to Goodwill.
Am I right??? Oh, that’s just me and my crazy life.
I’ve been watching lots of online options to sell your stuff. I’ve seen a little success in Facebook groups and on neighborhood sites for selling household items and toys. But, I’ve never tried selling any clothing items.
Tonight, I created a Poshmark account.
I don’t have time here to go into everything there is to know about Poshmark (mainly because I’m still sitting here learning myself).
From my research, it’s one of the biggest and most popular online closet sales you can find. You can search brands, etc.
When someone purchases an item, they automatically pay the shipping with their purchase, you get an email with the shipping label, put it in a box with the label and drop it in the nearest mailbox.
I can do that!
I’m busy tonight trying it out and I’ve added just a few items. It’s been relatively easy to create the account, download the app and load my items for sale.
If you’re interested, here are the items I have so far:
I’ll let you know how it goes over the next few days and if I think this is something that is worthwhile and that I could do easily.
If not, I’m totally tempted to just dump all my crap in my trunk and head to Goodwill. Not gonna even lie.
You can learn more about Poshmark here if you want to buy and sell consignment clothes from closets around the world.
I’m curious – do you sell items online? What have you found to be most successful? I’d love to hear what works for you and how you’ve made extra income selling your stuff to others!
