#slowitdownSunday / surround me, oh Lord

the daily Starr slow it down Sunday

Whenever you feel afraid.

Whenever you are worried.

Whenever you just don’t understand.

Whenever the circumstances of today aren’t what you expected.

There are 4 words we can pray:

“Surround me, oh Lord.”

He’s faithful to meet us in that very moment. It doesn’t matter where you are – at church, at home, in the living room, in the car, at work…wherever.

He will be there.

He said so –

10 Fear not, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed. I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.[a]

Isaiah 41:10 (TLB)

And if we draw close to Him, He will draw close to us.

Come close to God, and God will come close to you.

James 4:8 (NLT)

I don’t know what tomorrow will bring. I don’t know what your current struggle may be. But, I do know this – we all struggle with something. And Jesus is the only answer that can meet every need.

We can just whisper those 4 words.

Tonight, I pray that we #slowitdownSunday enough to capture a moment of being in His arms and letting Him fill us up like only He can do.
