Here we sit in the middle of the living room floor on this #funfriday –
By the way, Kylie “re-did” her hair – all by herself – today at school. I’m sure you couldn’t tell.
This girl seriously cracks me up!!
Tonight we’re busy preparing for our church’s annual Easter egg hunt. The girls are helping me fill all the eggs with candy for the big hunt that begins tomorrow morning bright and early.
Growing up, I have such fun memories of always helping my mom and dad get ready for events at church. I want my kids to have those same memories and I pray that when they grow up and have families of their own they have the same love and desire for being at church and serving others that I’ve inherited from my own parents.
Church should be fun and joyful. I want them to love being there and serving – so that’s exactly why I’m making preparations part of our weekly fun tradition.
The eggs won’t be the only focus of our hunt tomorrow morning.
We’re planning to share the story of Jesus through our eggs with the kiddos and volunteers tomorrow. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this simple and easy illustration from Pinterest for “Resurrection Eggs”:

Our kids can still enjoy Easter and egg hunts and have an understanding of the real meaning behind what Jesus did for us! Now that’s real FUN!!
Happy weekend, y’all!
