#slowitdownSunday / 3 things you need to know from a man with no legs and no arms

the daily Starr slow it down Sunday

Maybe you’ve seen motivational videos of Nick Vujicic – the man with no legs and no arms.

He’s all over YouTube and each time I watch, I learn something new.

Tonight, let’s all #slowitdownSunday for 3 simple minutes and hear from Nick about 3 things we should know in life:

Did you catch the 3 things:

#1 – Who are you and what is your value?

#2 – What is your purpose here in life?

#3 – What is your destiny when you’re done here?

“If you don’t know the answers of any of those 3 questions, you’re more disabled than I.” – Nick Vujicic

I personally believe we all have God-given value, purpose and a destiny to live eternal life with Him in Heaven.

If you’re struggling with any of those areas, I encourage you to spend time praying and asking God for wisdom and knowledge.

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. – James 1:5 NIV

He is faithful to hear our prayers and answer.

  1. I so needed this! Just got back from a weeklong trip with Grant and his 7th Grade class. It was a great watershed evnt for all of us. Not just the students. We visited the state Capital and spent the rest of the time on Dauphin islands Sea Lab. We had student led devotions nightly. And i was blown away by the knowledge and maturity of these kids and Gods Word! It was humbling to say the least. Seeing all of them with their Bibles and Journals in hand I was greatly convicted about my own Study of the Word. This entire message tonight was a bit of what we discussed with the kids. I am ready to commit again to this study of self and the Word and ask myself these 3 questions. I am going to ask for Wisdom as it is certainly something i am lacking ! Thanks so much! Gina

  2. This is a great story – so motivational. God uses stories like this to remind me that I have absolutely nothing to complain about in my life. This reminded me of a similar story I’d heard. My life group teacher works with a guy named Richie Parker. Here’s his story:
