I am SOO EXCITED to tell y’all about something I just discovered.
Glennie the Great had these steel wool soap pads from Big Lots under her kitchen sink and when we moved all her things out of the little house in Wadesboro a few years ago, I just packed them up and naturally put them under my own sink.
They sat in the box for years. Shocker.
You MUST GO GET SOME OF THESE STEEL WOOL SOAP PADS!!!
Get yourself to Big Lots and grab a box of 10 for only 79 CENTS!
Here’s what they do.
My grandma had these aluminum pans we use all the time. They are terrible about getting spots from where food cooks and I scrub away and scrub away and the spots stay. I wish I had taken a before photo earlier today, but I didn’t know it would be this phenomenal.
Oh. Yes. This pan has not been this clean in 10 years. I’m amazed.
Have y’all ever used these pans? I will never EVER get rid of them.
Century Aluminum Ware – made in the U.S.A. I’m sure this pan is like 60 years old. Or older.
If you find any at the Goodwill, you should snatch them up immediately. Snatch. Them. Up.
Brock thought the pans were so shiny and bright – he needed shades!!!
Ok – and here’s an example from dinner tonight because I wanted to show you this awesomesauce cleaning power.
We cooked hamburger patties in this pan. Super gross and burnt. No one said I was a good cook.
I put some water and soap in, let it set for about 10 minutes and then there was still grim on the bottom stuck.
A little light scrubbing power from my steel wool soap pads:
When I say light scrubbing power, I mean like I didn’t even hurt my arm or scrub with all my might like I’ve done in the past with my regular cleaning pads.
This stuff comes RIGHT OFF IMMEDIATELY.
Usually these pans have had water spots in the bottoms even after I’ve washed and cleaned them. It’s been getting on my nerves. No more. Spit spot.
I’m hooked. Thank you for the 79 cent cleaning hack, Great!!
