Does this happen to anyone else??
Junk seems to take over in our bonus room. For example, this is what it looked like earlier this afternoon:
I thought it was a great idea to put our couch in the middle of the floor and create a divide in the room. Turns out, that was a VERY BAD idea. It just created a space for me to put more junk behind the couches. And then I couldn’t get into the closets. Bad, bad, bad idea.
And our workout equipment – well…
As you can see, not much use of that going on – except to dry some of my jeans!!
For today’s #makeovermonday project I spent a few hours and tackled putting things away. ANNNND we got our bonus room back, y’all!
In full disclosure, I was tempted to fill this little corner beside the couch with stuff.
But I knew that wouldn’t turn out well when I needed to get into the closet and I would get stinking mad pulling all that stuff out. So I cleaned it out too!
Now we can actually get into the closets, what a novel idea! Please don’t pay attention that those doors have never been painted and they have no hardware!! We added this closet a few years ago and of course, have yet to finish the project. Ooops. And they really need to be cleaned out, but that’s another project for another day.
The kiddos were excited to have a big open space to play in again.
And we can actually work out now on the workout equipment! Watch out, here come the skinny people!! It’s okay, you can laugh – we’ll let you know when we’re actually skinny.

It’s nice to have our room back!
