We travel quite a bit and I’ve honestly never had a plan for packing. Shocking, I know.
I just fold and roll and shove and get it all in there and pray my suitcase weighs less than 50 pounds (the airlines charge ridiculously extra if your bag is over 50 pounds).
Recently, a friend shared this video of how she packs clothing for a business trip – one requiring dressy clothes and suits.
Y’all. This is GENIUS. Watch and if it doesn’t seem to make sense, just wait til the end. I promise, it will work.
Brian and I packed our suitcases just like this for our most recent work conference and for the first time ever – I did not have to iron a single piece of clothing when we arrived!!
We did this exact order:
1 – dress pants
2 – jackets/sweaters
3 – shirts
Fold it all together just like Beth did in her video above and you have a nice pouch.
As soon as we arrived, we hung up our jackets. I left my shirts and pants folded in my suitcase and nothing required ironing whatsoever the entire trip.
I also found that packing like this made me more aware of what I was bringing. I still brought a little too much, but I didn’t bring near as much as I normally do.
This is how I will pack from now on!! Thanks, Beth!

Awesomeness! I have over packed so many times. And had to iron it all. Thanks so much. This is a game changer for sure. Won’t dread packing now. 😊
