Exactly how I feel right now.
Maybe a little terrified and excited too, at the same time!
See, there’s this piece of land we’ve got our eyes on. Slight rolling hills. Beautiful green pastures. Countryside at it’s finest. We pass it everyday coming to and from our house and it’s all I can do to keep my eyes on the road because I get lost in the view and the idea of what could be. And Chick-fil-A is only 7 minutes down the street, people!!!
I may even be slightly crazy because I actually pull into the church parking lot that overlooks this land and I pray and cry and dream and get out of my car and take photos. And maybe – just maybe – one time I wanted to just get out of my car and dance and shout under the big tree next to the field.
We have a pretty clear vision of what to do on that land:
C R A Z Y I said!!
We have found the plans to build. We have researched the land and what we will need. We have put the business plan together. We have found comparable financials to support our plan. We have dreams of adding a ministry component to all of this.
There’s only 1 problem.
Did I mention this land isn’t for sale??
Oh, and the owners HAVE NO IDEA WHO WE ARE AND THAT WE EVEN EXIST ON PLANET EARTH!!!
Am I crazy for praying that God could actually move mountains and bring this vision to reality?
Do I actually believe He can do it? YES!
And maybe this isn’t the exact piece of land. That’s OKAY. God, wherever you want us to go – send us. Open the doors.
Until then, I’m learning everything I can about these people that don’t know me and one day real soon we’re gonna make a phone call or send a letter asking them to meet us.
And in that moment I’m going to be shaking in my boots and praying that these people don’t think we are completely insane for going after something we feel in our soul is our calling.
We’ve never done anything like this.
We’re learning as we go.
We’ve been waiting and preparing and the time has come to jump.
Would you help us pray?
Pray for the hearts of the owners of this land and that just maybe God has put something similar in their own souls to serve others.
Oh, and if you happen to live in Wesley Chapel and know these people – can you let me know? Ha! I’d love an introduction so they don’t think I’m completely crazy 🙂
We all know that’s true, though!
You are not completely crazy, friend.
When God puts something on your heart out of the ordinary and out of your comfort zone, spend time praying and seeking Him to give you clarity and wisdom. In His time, the fog will begin to lift and perhaps you’ll see that this has been His plan all along. Just maybe every little crazy detail of your life has been preparing you for here and now.
