#slowitdownSunday / what if we started every single day with this?

the daily Starr slow it down Sunday

Would our lives look different if we started each day with this?

Holy spirit, You are welcome here
Come flood this place and fill the atmosphere
Your glory, God, is what our hearts long for
To be overcome by Your presence, Lord

When this becomes our prayer, life takes a different turn.

We live with a new set of priorities. We see through a different lens.

And this: we don’t need to fill the void in our soul with meaningless matter.

Meaningless distractions. Meaningless addictions. Meaningless striving.

His presence changes everything.

Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 1 Corinthians 3:16

The things of this world become strangely dim.

We can absolutely live knowing that we can truly be overcome by His presence.

That is the life I want. Not only for #slowitdownSunday, but every day of the week.

Holy Spirit, You are welcome here.

Lord, help me start each day knowing this one truth.
