Does a dusting of snow count as being “snowed in”???
We’ve decided YES!
It’s #funfriday and we’re a few hours west of home doing research for our business plan on the farm property. Meanwhile, the big super winter storm that was expected to hit home is pretty much…rain….blah, blah, blah.
We’ll take a dusting of snow and use any excuse we can to stay bundled up inside:
This mountain retreat is exactly what has inspired us to dream big and create a place to welcome others to be refreshed.
A few things I love about the Old Edwards Inn –
1 – They have Christian based books on the tables everywhere around the property. Our current night stand table includes:
In fact, this place is where I first read one of my very favorite books of all times, the Circle Maker by Mark Batterson. I picked it up in our room here at the Old Edwards Inn and couldn’t go to sleep that night because I couldn’t stop reading about the power of prayer.
2 – They have scriptures on the walls.
Yes, a quote from the book of Psalms is exactly what you’ll find on the walls of this inn.
We come here and feel refreshed. We spend time with each other and we spend time getting closer to God.
That’s exactly what we want to create for you. A place to rest. A place to refresh and reconnect to the One that gave us life.
Meanwhile, if you need us – we’ll be here by the fire.
Until tomorrow that is – when we go back to reality and squeeze those sweet babies tight.
Brock has been busy at home this evening working on his dance moves and I thought you might like to see:
And then there’s part 2 of his dance moves – which he obviously gets from me!
Happy weekending and hopefully at least some snow comes your way tonight – but not so much that we can’t get home 🙂
