Ok. You know how people are so quick to join the “I hate FACEBOOK” train???
There are days where I LOVE FACEBOOK.
Especially when I’m scrolling and I see a post like this from one of my choir members:
I want to cry happy tears!!!
Truth: God can change people. PERIOD.
I’ve watched Micheal and Stephanie over the past couple of years become a light for Jesus. My view during services when our choir is singing is the actual choir instead of the congregation – so I see the faces of those leading our church in worship.
Every time I look at Micheal and Stephanie – I’m reminded of God’s faithfulness and how He is able to do what no one else can do – draw people closer to Him and turn lives around to impact the Kingdom.
I love it when God stirs something deep inside our souls to be closer to Him and to be used for His Glory. It always turns out way better than anything we could do on our own.
This is why I stand up to lead a choir. This is why I stand to be used in ministry.
It isn’t about a big mega church. It isn’t about denominations or beliefs. It’s about living a life of holiness and seeking God. If your church doesn’t stand for that, what does it stand for?
And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice–the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. Romans 12:1 NLT
God is truly GREAT! And we can worship Him with our lives.
Thanks for sharing your testimony and making this crazy choir director feel super thankful for the opportunity to lead, Micheal.
PS: I’m leading a Facebook LIVE Q&A session TONIGHT at 9pm in a private group for anyone wanting to learn more about our Holy Land 2017 trip. You can request to join here (or watch the video later – it will be saved to the page).
Inspired by Micheal’s testimony? Are you being used by God to impact His Kingdom?
- Find a church that believes the Bible and operates in those truths.
- Seek God to open doors for you to be involved in ministry. Believe me when I say this: YOU ARE NEEDED. GREATLY NEEDED.
- If you have the talent of singing or playing an instrument, look into being involved in music. Churches big and small often have opportunities for help. Not musically gifted? Don’t worry – Brian isn’t either..haha. He runs the sound board. There is a job for everyone to help in ministry!
